The evaluation of the Latvian state scholarship competition for international students for the 2024/2025 academic year is complete. The State Education Development Agency received 299 applications from 29 different countries. A total of 94 applicants from 25 nationalities have been awarded study scholarships.
The highest number of scholarship recipients is from Ukraine, with 19 students.
Following Ukraine, the recipients are:
- Uzbekistan: 10 scholarships
- Finland: 9 scholarships
- Azerbaijan: 8 scholarships
- Germany: 8 scholarships
- Estonia: 5 scholarships
- Turkey: 5 scholarships
Other countries also have scholarship recipients, contributing to the diverse representation of nationalities.
Top 5 Higher education institutions (HEIs) with scholarship recipients:
- Rīga Stradiņš University: 25 scholarships
- Riga Technical University: 22 scholarships
- University of Latvia: 12 scholarships
- Daugavpils University: 6 scholarships
- Stockholm School of Economics in Riga: 6 scholarships
